Summary – Examination Guide
If you take the exam online, you need a computer with a webcam and a smartphone or tablet with the Microsoft Teams app installed. We also recommend a stable internet connection of at least 3 Mbit/s.
Computer/Laptop:
- Webcam: The webcam is used by our examination software so that we can see you from the front during the examination.
- Screen resolution: For a clear display of the examination questions, we recommend a screen resolution of at least 1,200 x 800 pixels.
- Operating system: You can take the exam on a Windows PC (from Windows 7) or a Mac (from OS X 10.10 Yosemite).
- Administrator rights: No admin rights are required on the examination computer.
Smartphone/Tablet
- Front camera: Due to requirements from the LBA, we need the mobile device so that we can see you during the exam from a second, side camera perspective.
- Perspective: From this second perspective we should be able to see, in addition to you, the mouse, keyboard and screen of your computer.
- Position: Based on experience, the smartphone should be positioned at a lateral distance of approximately 1.5 to 3.0 m to your right or left (e.g., on a tripod or propped against a bottle on the table).
- Teams app: The free Microsoft «Teams» app must be installed on the mobile device: https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/microsoft-teams/download-app
